For referring clinicians

You have a patient who needs a primary care doctor who will actually listen — and enough time to do it. That's our practice.

Storied Medicine is direct primary care in Leschi, South Seattle. No insurance billing, no coding, no fifteen-minute visits. Dr. Owen Kendall keeps a small panel so that visits run as long as they need to, and patients can reach him directly between them.

We are accepting new members. (Updated September 2026.)

Good fits for us

  • Patients, 18 and over, who need gender-affirming care and hormone therapy

  • HIV prevention (PrEP) and HIV care

  • Anyone whose care has been rushed, dismissed, or fragmented — complex histories, multiple conditions, long problem lists

  • Patients who need same-week access and real continuity

  • Patients 5-18 who need affirming general practice care and care coordination.

  • Patients in South Seattle: Columbia City, Rainier Valley, Beacon Hill, Central District, Leschi, Madrona, and south to Renton, Kent, and Auburn

Medicare

We are not currently accepting Medicare patients while the practice is growing — but we expect that to change, and we keep a Medicare waitlist. If you have a patient on Medicare who needs what we offer, send them anyway. We'll take their information and call them the moment we can take them on.

What it costs your patient

$150 a month for adults for our first 100 patients. $100 a month for pediatrics (5-17 years old). No copays, no surprise bills, no insurance billing at all. Cancel anytime.

Members keep their own insurance for anything outside the practice — labs, imaging, specialists, hospital care. The membership covers primary care itself. We charge $5 to draw labs and have detailed pricing for labs and materials here.

What we don't do

We don’t do gender affirming care for people under 18. We can provide primary care in a supportive environment and help them to coordinate care.

We do not provide mental health therapy.

How to refer

Just send them. Give your patient this page, or point them to storiedmedicine.com — anyone can book a free discovery call and talk to Owen before committing to anything.

Or reach out directly: owenkendall@storiedmedicine.com or (206) 855-3698

Warm handoffs welcome. If the patient's story is complicated, call and tell it to us first. That's the whole point of a small panel.
